Amanda Thornton, RN

Amanda goes above and beyond for her patients and coworkers. She treats them all like family. Amanda is the first person on the unit to gather the team to participate in hospital and community activities. Amanda can be counted on to follow through on everything she says to her coworkers and patients. During this pandemic, Amanda has been a true light in the dark for all of us. She never hesitates to sit down with coworkers and make sure they are feeling heard. She puts a calm on all coworkers and most importantly her patients. I have never worked with a nurse in my 20 years in healthcare that deserves this award more than Amanda.
