Amanda was nominated by a patient's daughter because she not only cared for the patient but also his family members. Amanda comforted the family and ensured the patient received medication to ease his pain. The family member wrote, "She prayed for him and was a very kind and caring nurse that I will forever be grateful during my father's last days".
