This wonderful nurse did everything in her power to make my son feel better. Amanda Uribe took time and sat with him and made a point to have conversations with him. My son really opened up to her and she made him feel better, which made me feel better. Later on, she even brought him some ice cream. Amanda always had a huge smile on her face and the best attitude. I truly believe she made a great impact on making my son well enough to go home.

Amanda is a hard working nurse that is always paying attention to everyone's needs. She is a strong patient advocate and a great leader. Amanda consistently goes above and beyond for patients, families, and the General Pediatrics staff. She has stepped into her role as the General Pediatrics supervisor and has worked well with other members of the Clinical Leadership team to learn and grow. Amanda truly personifies the qualities of a DAISY nurse. The patients and staff of El Paso Children's Hospital are blessed to have Amanda as part of the team.
