September 2018 Honoree
amanda vaturi, RN
As a nursing instructor, I teach and observe young men and women every day working through Nursing School. Nursing has changed in amazing ways but the fundamentals of empathy, compassion, a true desire to take the time to listen and be available are rare these days. I've been a nurse over 40 years so I have seen the gradual changes. Amanda's kindness, understanding, genuine, concern, and care are evident in everything she does. From the smallest detail to the big important ones. She is a rare gem in the world of nursing today and I want her to know how blessed I feel (we as a family), to have had the opportunity to have her as our nurse for my sister who was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma with many complications. I thank you greatly and wish you much success in your nursing career. You will be a great asset wherever you go.
Thank you, Amanda, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
