My mom came in for her angiogram and stent placement on her leg and developed chest pain. They kept her through the weekend and Amanda was her nurse for 3 days. My mom was amazed at how often she checked in on her, making her comfortable and answering any questions. She is very knowledgeable about her job and able to relay that to my mom, easing her mind of any problems. She also engaged in conversations again, easing my mom's mind. Mom said she is very friendly and nice to be around when you don't feel well. This made her stay very pleasant. She cleaned the room, changed linens, and advocated for her meds with the doctors. As an RN myself, I also need to say that she went above and beyond, making my mom's stay wonderful. I didn't need to ask any questions, she gave all the info to us as it came, called me at home when I wasn't there with updates, and time for her cath on Monday morning. She is very thoughtful of others and aware that any admission can be a burden for the patients. She is an asset to UTMC. Thank you, Amanda!
