From the first second Amanda walked into my room, I knew she would be amazing. She immediately asked what my goals were and put them up on a board, then she made sure they were met. Amanda made sure a "smile" was on the list and cheered me up. She treated me like I was her only patient and came in constantly to see if I was okay or needed anything.
Today, I needed a bone marrow biopsy and Amanda wasn't working, but she was in the hospital. She stopped into my room and held my hand while stroking my head during the entire procedure so I wouldn't be afraid or alone. It doesn't get any better than that. I think Amanda is a true DAISY Nurse.
