I was induced at Southview Maternity. After a long, long day, Amanda was our nightshift nurse. This was my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy/delivery was very traumatic. My epidural didn't work, and I was in a lot of pain and had to push for a very long time. I told Amanda about that experience, and she made sure it didn't happen again. I had a panic attack while in labor, and Amanda talked me through it and overall kept me very comfortable. She was present when our daughter was born at 1:34 AM the next day. She was the one who announced her time of birth. She took the time to get to know my husband and I both. She was very personable and professional and truly seemed to be happy to be there with us. I swore this was my last pregnancy, but after Amanda's kind and helpful spirit, I may consider having another. I can't imagine the experience without her. Simply amazing.
