I came to this VA’s Emergency Department for suicidal thoughts and hearing voices in my head. I wouldn’t have made it to the Mental Health Department the next morning without Amber’s compassionate words and hopeful guidance. Her words were stuck in my head: “Just survive 13-14 more hours. Can you do that for me, please?” I don’t think I would’ve made it back here, and I don’t believe I would be still alive or here today if it weren’t for Amber. Thank you, Amber!
