I actually cried when I had to say goodbye.
I was so sick. I had just had my 2nd chemo that Friday and was urinating blood. They admitted me late in the evening. My morning Nurse was Amber; she was the kindest, most compassionate nurse I had ever met. She was so understanding about how scared I was. She was so reassuring; she explained everything so completely. She was my nurse for the next two days. I had surgery that Tuesday, and she said, "I will be here when you come back," and she was. During the toughest fight of my life, she tried to make things easier for me. This week I lost all of my hair, and I was self-conscience. She said, "you really wear short hair well." It was so kind. I am a person of strong faith, and I believe GOD sent me Amber those three days. She was my Angel. I actually cried when I had to say goodbye. Amber is so deserving of this recognition. Even when I went back to the cancer center and was telling the other nurses, they said other people had mentioned Amber. She touched my life, and I know I'm not the only one. Jupiter Medical and Nursing are so lucky to have such a special person.
