... my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer at 33 years old. We started our fight looking for the right team and the right care to win this war. It is difficult to think where we would be without Amber Burke by our side. She is compassionate, and dedicated to our care 110%. We have completed 2 abdominal surgeries and numerous changes throughout this fight. Amber has been on the front lines calling our insurance company, the pharmacies, and other doctors to ensure everything is taken care of before it becomes a problem. She has taken time away from her evenings to call and check progress, and make sure we are comfortable or if any adjustments need to be made to our care. We have been exposed to several other nurses throughout this process and no one nurse could compare to Amber in the sense of commitment and comfort she brings to our family. Amber has a high sense of quality patient care that reflects great credit upon the University of Nebraska Medical Center by upholding the highest traditions of nursing care.
