Amber is a Certified Emergency Nurse who responds to Med/Surg, ICU, and ER rapid response calls and codes. On this particular day, I, as the Nursing Supervisor, had called the ER and requested the ER doctor to respond to OB for a neonate code. Amber came with the physician. She was immediately welcomed and became part of the code team. She displayed kindness, professionalism, caring, compassion, and empathy to the parents as they sat quietly in shock and disbelief. Amber has shown many other examples of her knowledge base and compassionate heart. She demonstrates as a nurse who goes above and beyond to make a difference in others' lives.
