There is not a day that Amber is not exceptional, however, this experience stood out to me and many of our colleagues. We had a patient who was admitted with lice. As a result, the provider asked Amber to shave the patient's head that night. Instead of going home to sleep, Amber spent her day shopping for head scarves to take to this young lady, who was very concerned with her new-found lack of hair. Amber brought in multiple scarves to give to the patient to wear in the hospital and after discharge. Amber is an exceptional nurse and deserves the DAISY Award for her willingness to go above and beyond for all of her patients.
