This past fall, I went to another hospital after having different random symptoms; something just felt off. I felt dismissed since no testing was done and I was discharged. Feeling unsure, I went straight to Promedica Memorial Hospital. I felt silly going to another hospital, like maybe I was overreacting. I was seen right away, and when Amber cared for me, I was immediately relieved. She is, in my opinion, a prominent member of the community, and she cared for me before with my various health issues. She was patient with me when I explained my symptoms. She listened to me and was very thorough with her assessment. Amber ran specific tests to check everything out, and it turned out I did have a complex diagnosis, so I was referred to neurology. Because of her timely referral, I received proper treatments for my diagnosis. For the last month, I have had an improved quality of life, resulting in me having to take less pain medication. I went from barely functioning and living in pain to being happy and living life to the fullest. I truly mean it when I say my life has changed, and that is because of Amber. If she hadn’t listened to me, believed me, and ordered the proper testing, I would have never found out what the real problem was.
