Amber Gillespie, RN

Amber made a meaningful difference in the life of one of our patients. Recently, when Amber came into work, she suspected that one of her patients was showing stroke symptoms. She notified her doctors and they said it was probably from their medications. Later that afternoon, Amber told them that the weakness on the patient's right side was getting worse. The AMD came up and the patient was transferred to a step-down. She was having a stroke. This speaks volumes.

I would want Amber to take care of me. Amber is always diligent and is always her patients' advocate. Because she was persistent, she saved her patient from more disability. I've been working with Amber for 6 years and she is always an advocate for her patients. I think she should receive the DAISY Award for always being her patient's advocate and saving her patients from more health issues. I will never forget her dedication to her patients.
