While driving home after her shift, Amber Haynes came upon a serious car accident. Being the first on the scene, she was able to safely assess two victims whose vehicle had been overturned and were trapped inside their vehicle.
Amber was able to safely remove these two people from the overturned vehicle and get them to a safer location and provide support and care until EMS was able to arrive.
Amber was also able to provide support and hands-on assistance to Fire and EMS during the time the other vehicle's driver was removed from his vehicle by the Jaws of Life.
Amber never hesitated to jump into action to help a stranger and provide extraordinary care in an extraordinary situation. Her role as an ICU RN extends beyond the walls of the hospital to serve her community. Her prior STICU experience and previous career have given her confidence and training to be ready for action!
