Amber Krinock, RN

I witnessed Amber in the most caring and compassionate moment. I had been in contact with Amber several times throughout the day as she tried diligently to work with the daughters of a patient nearing the end of his fight with COVID. She tried to get his daughters there in time to see him. However; with his rapid decline, she was unsure if they would make it. I went to the unit to follow up with Amber to determine if she was able to finalize plans with his daughters. What I witnessed next literally is the epitome of the Riverside Care Difference. I found Amber sitting next to the patient holding his hand unsure if when his last breath might be. Her sadness and fear never wavered during her shift. She only knew she didn’t want him to pass alone.
