Amber is the school nurse for my children. For two weeks, we had been struggling with trying to find out what was wrong with my son. His PCP is through Aurora and we'd been to the doctor three times already with no answers. At school, on Monday, Amber took all my son's vitals and wrote a note explaining all of his signs and symptoms so I could give it to the staff at Bellin Health Urgent Care. We were at Urgent Care for three hours and labs were done and we were then admitted to the Pediatrics Unit that night. My son had a UTI, with none of the normal symptoms. She was also working that night on Peds and had to stop by just to see how F was doing. If not for Amber, I feel we never would have gotten the answer. She is amazing and I feel she is a true DAISY Nurse.
