Amber M Tarasyuk, BSN, RN
From the moment I met Amber, I felt welcomed to partner with her in taking care of my husband of 50 years. He was about to have a risky surgery to replace an mitral valve that had large masses of vegetative infection. She respected my opinions on what approaches would work with my husband and would keep him most comfortable. It was clear to me that she always put her patients first, and she told me, with a smile, how much she loved her job.
Most importantly, though, she was on a mission to help save his life. The day after surgery he suddenly went into cardiac arrest. She quickly began CPR, and her fast reaction meant he revived with only one round of CPR and one shock. After treatment was administered, Amber too the time to come and talk with me to reassure me, and she made sure I got to see my husband as soon as possible. Her kindness and caring during that very scary time touched my heart.
My Husband has gone on to have a successful recovery, thanks to Ambers quick thinking. Please let her know how grateful both my husband and I are that she was his nurse at such a crucial time.
