January 2013 Honoree
amber mccauley, RN
McCauley was nominated by a patient's mother, who had this to say about the care provided to her daughter:
"Amber worked diligently to provide outstanding post-op care. She spent hours working to calm my daughter from anxiety. Thank you for calling so many times and being a great advocate for my daughter. During my daughter's nine surgeries and multiple hospitalizations, I only felt comfortable enough to leave three times. This was one of those times. You are a great nurse and did a great job. Your compassion has already made you an asset to the unit."
Terry Hobbs, clinical manager for the units, describes McCauley as "patient-centered beyond her years. Amber was made for nursing, and she just loves it."
