I am commending Lt. Amber Banks for her knowledge, her empathy, and her love of her profession that is displayed by her nice personality.
I was admitted to 4 West with Atrial Fibrillation and CHF. My first encounter with Lt. Amber Banks was on my second day, on the day shift. From the beginning of my day with her, I was having symptoms of lightheadedness with low BP and a very high heart rate. Due to her knowledge of my diagnosis, she promptly contacted my cardiologist and other doctors on his team. I was given medication; Toprol IV, Lasix IV, and a new medication Digoxin. Due to her fast thinking and efficiency, she saved a lifeā€¦mine!

Because of that, today, I am being discharged from here David Grant Medical Center to wait for cardiac ablation in another institution. I am going home with better vital signs and feeling much better although unfortunately still with atrial fibrillation. I am commending Lt. Amber Banks for her knowledge, her empathy, and her love of her profession that is displayed by her nice personality. She is an asset to the nursing profession, military nursing, and the United States Air Force! I wish her success in her chosen profession, Nurse!
