My mom is almost 75 and had a total knee replacement. It was a long day for all since the scheduling got messed up. I'd been up since 3:30 am and we got to the room around 6 pm. Things got off to a bad start with the day nurse. Amber came in explained everything to my mother and made sure she understood. She kept up with her pain management and was always kind. My mom asked if I could take her to the bathroom and Amber said to call us and we will take care of you. They were extremely busy, but she didn't hesitate. Amber is very knowledgeable about all the things my mom asked her. She never sounded bothered. I've seen and dealt with a lot of nurses. Amber is a gem! What an asset to teach other nurses how to treat their patients with kindness, respect, and dignity. Amber thank you for everything. I got some rest because I didn't have to worry about my mom being taken care of.
