Amber Phelps 2023, RN

I am very behind in writing this letter regarding my father who was a patient at Honor House for six years. In November of last year, he came down with COVID and was transferred to the VA hospital building. While being a patient there he had his 100th birthday. He was physically suffering and was very anxious while struggling with being there. A nurse by the name of Amber came by his side on numerous occasions and talked so kindly and sincerely to him and calmed him down. All the time she was in her last trimester of pregnancy and caring for a patient with COVID! My siblings and I are forever grateful for her kind, loving quality care she administered. She is to be commended for such service.
