With Amber's help and guidance, the patient's contractions increased, and the birthing process was able to continue.
A nurse is the foundation of care in a hospital. Not only are they miracles, but they also deliver them. Amber Rafko provided a patient with outstanding care and compassion during the delivery of her baby. “We are forever grateful for your help and encouragement.” After over 30 hours of labor, the induction method became ineffective and a C-section was impending. With Amber's help and guidance, the patient's contractions increased, and the birthing process was able to continue. Amber had the patient try different positions of laying and sitting and within four hours, she was ready to deliver. Amber practiced pushing exercises with the patient until the doctors arrived and delivered the baby. "Amber was a rock star during the labor and delivery of our son," added the baby's father. "He is a happy, healthy, and smart baby and we are so blessed he is here!"
