We had a patient who stayed on the unit for about 6 weeks to complete antibiotics. This patient was also going through a tough time during her hospitalization maintaining her apartment. Eventually, she lost her apartment, moved all of her belongings to the hospital, and took up residence here until her antibiotics were complete. This patient had no place to go after her hospitalization. Amber was so amazing to help her find housing post-hospital out of the kindness of her heart. Amber even stayed late into the night after her 12-hour shift to help move her items, so they could both drive to her new place. Amber is an amazing nurse. She is my nursing spirit animal, and we are lucky to have her on our floor.
