I want to recognize Amber for her excellence and for always going above and beyond for me. I have walked into the clinic several times without an appointment, and she always made sure my needs were promptly taken care of.

I have been struggling with my copays, medications, and having enough food. The last time I was in, Amber spent almost two hours with me. She showed integrity and a high level of respect despite my situation and how I was feeling. She never made me feel bad about coming in. She validated my concerns and feelings, and I felt better that I had come in.

I have been struggling with paying for food and have had very little at home. Along with several other resources, Amber made sure I received a food box before I left. I am a diabetic and was concerned because most of the foods in the box were not diabetic-friendly. Amber showed excellence in her care and took the time to swap out items for more appropriate options and even got me some fresh vegetables. That was completely unexpected.

She also got a social worker involved to see if there were other ways to help with my situation. Amber reached out to someone to help me apply for a hardship waiver for my copays. She printed the form, helped me fill it out, and even personally walked me over to the person who could assist. She didn’t have to do that, but she made sure I was never alone during the process. It made me feel supported and like she was truly advocating for me.

I felt like my voice was heard and that I was not alone. I cannot say enough positive things about Nurse Amber. Her high standard of care, commitment to her patients, and unwavering advocacy. She stood up for me when I couldn’t and didn’t know how to. She never left my side and helped me through an incredibly tough situation.

Amber is the epitome of what every nurse should strive to be. I will forever be grateful that she is on my team!
