Amber Thornton 2021, RN

I was a surgical patient at Kaiser SDMC. All the nurses I encountered exhibited compassion and excellent skills; however, I would like to single out Amber whom I met in the Recovery area. Aside from her competent skills and quiet, capable demeanor, Amber has a wonderful way of relating to patients. Recovery beds are separated only by curtains, so I would hear as she cared for those near me. As a former nurse educator, I can spot the excellent ones. Her communication with me and others instilled calm and confidence as she answered questions and explains procedures. She is a DAISY Nurse in my book!
