She encouraged me to stand back up and remember why I wanted to continue my nursing education.
I went through something that involved a teacher lying about something I said. When I went to the staff to discuss this, I was dismissed and told, “I was not there, I cannot comment,” while saying they were siding with that teacher, and I continued to be ignored. I was incredibly upset because my teachers and others saw me in a different light, and I was unable to defend myself. I felt horrible about myself. I spoke with Amber about my situation and how awful I felt. She let me talk for hours, and she just listened. When I was done talking, she reassured me about what kind of person I was. She encouraged me to stand back up and remember why I wanted to continue my nursing education. She continues to check on me all the time, and it has been months. Without her, I would have left this school and would not have completed my life goals.
