I am a senior nursing student who was assigned to this unit with multiple shifts with this RN. She was kind and welcoming, gave me advice on how to best advance my practice, and took the time out of her busy schedule to explain everything that was unclear.

I felt intimidated on my first day in this unit, but this RN put me at ease. She demonstrated skills with mastery and made an effort to have me included in whatever I was interested in or unfamiliar with.

She is patient, kind, practiced, comforting, and funny. I can tell by her interactions with peers that she is respected and respectful. She emphasized the value of empathy and compassion with both patients and peers on the nursing team.

This nurse is a team player and an excellent teacher & mentor. I would like to be her when I grow up!
