Amy goes above and beyond in her role as a charge nurse. Even as the demands of this position have increased over time, she remains patient, kind, and compassionate with both patients and their families. When faced with challenging situations involving providers or fellow healthcare workers, she always takes the "high road", maintaining her composure. She has trained many nurses, including myself, on how to be caring and responsible healthcare professionals. I recall a particular incident as a newly graduated nurse when I accidentally spilled blood on a doctor's lab coat while removing a drain. Amy calmly addressed the issue with the upset doctor, allowing me time to collect myself and attend to my patient. I am forever grateful to her for that teaching moment. Her dedication to her profession was especially evident during the height of the pandemic, when she worked tirelessly alongside many others. Throughout the years, she has consistently served as an exemplary figure in nursing. Despite the challenges, she seldom complains and always does her work with a smile, which she is well known for.
