When a new skill or initiative is mentioned, Amelia is the first to raise her hand to want to participate.
"Amelia is a very knowledgeable and diligent educator. She is proactive with all her educational initiatives. She came here several months ago and quickly taught herself the role of NPD. She goes beyond the call of duty when asked to complete an assignment. Her knowledge of competencies, daily skills, and other activities in the OR, PACU, etc. are well articulated and defined. She emphasizes evidence-based practice in all her work.
This year she attended the AORN conference and is working on an AIA project for the organization. Amelia is well-received by her coworkers and team members both in the Education Department and on the units. She is patient and kind when training. Staff always evaluate her positively in her online evaluations.
Amelia has taken the” bull by the horns” for PCSO and is empowered to learn her role. She managed to work multiple jobs during the lack of two FTEs in the department. She takes constructive feedback seriously and wants to strive towards improvement. When a new skill or initiative is mentioned, Amelia is the first to raise her hand to want to participate. She works OT and comes in for meetings whenever there is a need.
Amelia has also covered in charge responsibilities during the director's absence. Her interactions with patients, families, staff, and co-workers are always helpful and kind. It is a pleasure to have Amanda in the dept. Amelia is certified in her specialty and is master’s prepared."
It is with this kind of compassionate and dedicated care that Kaiser Permanente and the DAISY Foundation present you with this Award. Thank you for all you do.
