There has been a patient on our unit since last year. Each staff member on our unit has taken extra special care of this patient during their stay because there are no visitors to speak of. As the holidays were approaching, Amelia McCoulloch wanted the patient to know how much she and the staff cared. She purchased a Christmas tree and on her day off, she and her daughter came to visit the patient to spend quality time and decorated the room for the holidays. Moments like these are true exemplars of the caregiver's heart.
