There was an Arabic family waiting while their child was in surgery and received a page from the OR. Sadly, the family did not speak English nor did they have an interpreter present. The mother, fearing the worst, collapsed on the ground. Amelia immediately rushed to the mother’s side and called the interpreter. She asked the interpreter how to say a phrase to communicate with the family that their child was ok and surgery was progressing as expected. This is just one example of many that depict Amelia's commitment to our patients and their families. She continuously goes above and beyond to ensure exceptional care is provided on a daily basis.
