Amie Bell, LPN

Amie Bell deserves to be recognized for her outstanding care, compassion, intuition, and of course nursing skills. Amie was M's ER nurse. Other people came in and out of the room but she was the constant before he was admitted into the hospital. M hadn't been in an emergency room since he was 10 years old so being there was definitely stressful. Plus he was in an excruciating amount of pain. Amie's candor put M at ease and her kindness and calm demeanor made him feel comfortable about everything that was happening, from examination by the ER doctor to labs and eventually fluids and a blood transfusion. I saw her in the waiting room during one of M's surgical procedures and she told me she had called in to check on M the day after he's been in the ER. I was touched by her kindness. She truly is an angel and nursing is her calling.
