My mother-in-law was admitted to the hospital after a horrible fall and a 6-week negative experience with a nursing home. Amie treated her from start to finish as though this was her own mother. Amie was loving, caring, compassionate, and advocated for her in ways I have not seen any other nurse do in a very long time.

I am a Director of Nursing, and Amie did not know that, yet the love she provided was absolutely priceless. Amie went above and beyond every shift. She called me with updates and provided education to all of the family. She provided such a special presence for end-of-life care for my mother-in-law. She spent time with her and with us and bonded so well that I felt she became a part of our family. This truly helped with my responsibilities as the POA of medical, making sure I was seeing everything as clearly as possible.

I literally was in awe of Amie all five days she was with my loved one. I knew that when I left the hospital, my loved one was safe and in great hands. Amie is everything the Henry Ford Health mission stands for, and I am so very thankful for the Lord bringing her into our world to help care for my loved one who is so special to us.

Thank you for your love and compassion during this very sad and hard time. I feel this should not just be a nomination, but the actual DAISY Award. Out of all the nurses I have worked alongside, trained, and led in my years of nursing, Amie is one of the greatest by far. What a gift my loved one had during the hardest time of her life. Thank you again for your loving and caring soul. May God bless you as He blessed us with your nursing care. Just an amazing nurse and person.

Thank you, Amie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
