Amie L Reifenstein, RN

From the first day I met Amie, I knew she was going to be the best nurse I could ever ask for. I am a nurse myself and also work at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. I became a patient due to a complication from a procedure. She was kind, gentle, and did everything she could to advocate for me and keep me safe. I have multiple allergies, especially to scents. She made a sign and screened every person before entering my room to ensure I was safe. She truly loves her job, and I see it not only in my interaction but also with her coworkers and other patients. It is nurses like her who make me feel safe when I need to come in. She is also full of knowledge and has experience with my multiple rare conditions. Amie is truly making a difference every day, and it was an honor to not only have her care for me but also to have her as a colleague and role model. Amie also does everything with a smile, no matter what the task is. I am so grateful to know her, and I ultimately feel that if it weren’t for her advocating for me, I would not be here. I hope Amie gets the recognition she so deserves.
