Amila was completely non-judgmental and compassionate about the fact that I was a substance abuse patient and I had just earned my 60-day sobriety coin before coming into the hospital for an emergency appendectomy. She was so supportive and went above and beyond what was required by staying in the room. Our conversation was meaningful and will stick with me through not only my recovery from surgery but my recovery from drugs as well. I am so grateful to have met my nurse and that she was as she put it, "addicted to healing others." Now that's an addiction we can all stand behind. Thank you!

She makes me feel like I am taken care of and right at home. She checks on me even if I don't call her in and makes sure I am not feeling pain. She is caring.
