Amirah Tarte, ASN

Not only is Amirah a natural at bedside nursing, but she has also taken on extra responsibilities by spearheading a club for our nursing school cohort, which will continue to exist in the years to come. On top of working med/surg and completing nursing school assignments, she has shouldered the majority of the tasks involved in this club. She has set up a mentorship program for ADN students to assist PN students, organized fundraisers to enable nursing students to volunteer in the community, raised $1,400 for our local soup kitchen independently, organized board meetings, and helped honor society students by assisting with the submission of required paperwork. She excels in her grades and work, and somehow has the time and energy left over to help her peers and community.
