Amirah is a role model for other nursing students. She shows the confidence and critical thinking that even new graduate nurses are still developing. The way she is always thinking out of the box to maximize care for her patients is inspiring and gives me the drive to be a better nurse. I have also seen her teach her patients the importance of self-advocacy. The compassion and care she shows for her patients is overwhelming. She never hesitates to seize new opportunities because she knows it is going to improve her nursing skills. This compassion extends to her peers. Studying with her has shown me how knowledgeable she is and she is constantly thinking of creative ways for us to remember the lecture content. When I am in the clinical setting, I try my best to be as good of a nursing student as Amirah is!
