This nurse's compassionate and caring approach made me feel so much better, and I will always be grateful for her kindness during such a stressful time.
Amrutha received two nominations:
As a child, I was always filled with immense fear and anxiety whenever I went to a hospital. The environment felt so overwhelming, and the mere thought of needles and blood made my stomach mix. Unfortunately, as an adult, that fear followed me, and the stress and anxiety leading up to my procedure were all-consuming. Even after my outpatient clinic visit where my doctor discussed the high need for the upcoming procedure, I couldn't shake off the feeling of impending doom. The night before my admission was a restless one, filled with thoughts that I might have complications or side effects. I couldn't help but think of the procedure that I would be under, and it just added to my fear.
The day I went to the hospital with high heartbeats, I was feeling quite stressed and anxious. However, when I arrived at the nursing unit, I was greeted by an incredibly kind and compassionate nurse who immediately put my mind at ease. She had a smile on her face that was so warm and genuine, and I could tell from her eyes that she truly cared about my well-being.
As she approached me, she spoke in a soothing voice and assured me that I was in good hands. She took the time to explain to me what the procedure would entail and what to expect while in the hospital. She made sure that I was comfortable and answered all my questions in such a clear and simple way.
As I was being prepped for the procedure, the nurse took my hand and looked me in the eyes with such kindness and compassion. It was like she knew just how scared I was, and her touch gave me the strength and courage to push through it all. In retrospect, I’m grateful for that nurse and the compassion she showed me during such a challenging time. Her gentle touch and words helped to lessen my fear and stress and made all the difference in my hospital experience. I now realize that hospitals don't have to be a place of pain and suffering - they can also be a place of healing and compassion.
As we were reviewing the discharge plan, the nurse took a moment to connect with me. She paused and looked at me with such tenderness and said, "Our ultimate goal is for you to have a successful procedure." Those words really resonated with me and instantly lifted my spirits. I imagined myself at home, resting and healing, feeling much better than before.
This nurse's compassionate and caring approach made me feel so much better, and I will always be grateful for her kindness during such a stressful time. It just goes to show that one small, compassionate gesture can make all the difference in someone's day.

Hospitals have always been a place of immense fear and anxiety for me, but my experience was completely transformed when I met Amrutha. She is caring, compassionate, empathetic, and kind and incredibly loyal, attentive, intuitive, steadfast, professional, and trustworthy. The moment she arrived, I felt instantly comforted by her calming presence and her ability to remain strong even in the most difficult of circumstances. In fact, she stayed with me from arrival until discharge, providing me and my family with constant support and encouragement.
I'll never forget the time I found my mother worried and anxious before my procedure. It was Amrutha who quietly approached my family and provided them with a thorough explanation of the procedure, offering reassurance and answering all their questions. Before I knew it, my fear and anxiety dissipated, replaced by a sense of hope and confidence. Amrutha's support and way of making us feel safe helped me and my family stay calm throughout the process.
Amrutha is not just an ordinary nurse, she is an Angel of Mercy. She encouraged me, coached me, provided thorough education to me, and poured herself into the mission of making every life she touches better. She even asked me what was important to me and what I wanted to ensure she knew before the procedure. That's the kind of nursing care that makes all the difference in the world.
The fact that Amrutha respected my privacy, and cultural aspects, despite not belonging to the same religious background, really touched my heart. Her warm personality made my hospital experience the best I've ever had. I wish every patient could experience her helpfulness and compassion.
Amrutha deserves to be highly recognized for her exceptional nursing care. She truly is an Angel of Mercy and has made a positive impact on my life and the lives of so many others.
