Amy has been really fantastic to me and is always ready and eager to help. Whenever I’m having issues, she’ll actually go out on the floor and find my doctor when she’s going between patients to personally let the doctor know of my problems so she can relay to me what the doctor’s resolution is. One time, I needed an asthma inhaler spacer, and she immediately mailed it to me here in Iowa. Another time, I had a problem, and she was relaying back to me what the doctor said to do on a Friday long past working hours and doing so very cheerfully. The most recent thing she did was I had an appointment with my pulmonologist, and she was still finishing up her prior in-person appointment before me and was very late. Amy jumped onto the video chat to inform me of what was going on and how much longer it would be for my doctor to go on the chat. I have never had a nurse in a doctor’s office do this for me. Amy really goes above and beyond what most nurses do and, in my opinion, has earned this DAISY Award many times over.
