Amy Adams 2026, RN
While I was pre op and post op, Ms Amy, my nurse, made me feel right at home from the beginning; she felt like another mother with her care!
I came in worried and unsure of what was to come. She greeted me like she’d known me forever. It instantly calmed me and made me feel like I was in good hands. She reassured my mother, who was with me, that she and her staff would take good care of me and let her know every step of the way. I appreciated her concern and commitment to understanding my needs as a patient. I didn’t feel just like another patient but a family member she hadn’t seen in a long time!
She explained all my medications and made sure I understood everything that was happening, and adapted the drink that she saw I liked to mix with my Miralax, so I could get it down better. She paid attention to detail and went above and beyond!
Nothing she did felt forced but felt like love of doing her job and caring for me. I definitely will be drawing her a picture and getting her a gift. She had me in tears from the love of her care! If she didn’t receive this Award, it would be an injustice.
Ms. Amy is an angel in human form! I pray she continues to touch people's lives like she did my family and me!
