Amy seemed to be genuinely concerned with me healing properly and encouraging me as a mother.
I am a 37-year-old woman who just had a C-section for my baby girl’s birth. This was hard. My other children are 17 and 10 years old and I felt like I had forgotten everything about taking care of a baby. Then, I met Amy. She introduced herself and immediately began to tell me how I can make this stay easy. She even reassured me that everything would be okay by telling me she was also over 35 and taking care of a one-year-old and two-year-old baby. Amy was wonderful! Other than meeting my needs as my RN, she seemed to be genuinely concerned with me healing properly and encouraging me as a mother. I was at Baptist from Friday until Sunday. I looked forward to having Amy as my nurse every day. She was just the nurse who went the extra mile to make sure I had what I needed, mentally and physically. I think I have caught a lifelong friend in Amy. I wish that every mom on the labor and delivery floor could experience working with Amy. It is really an experience to be remembered. Thank you, Baptist for allowing me to meet Amy, and thank you Amy for your awesome words of encouragement and care.
