My mother was in and out of the hospital for seven months. The last month of her life, she spent on 5800. The entire staff was caring and great, and Amy Brannock was special. She spent the last two nights of my mother's life caring for her and being more than a nurse. She checked in on my mother constantly. Brought her a warm, clean "fluffy" blanket that was from her own home.
Amy provided me, my father and brother emotional strength and shared her personal story of the loss of her own mother to cancer. She followed up afterward and demonstrated that her job was more than a calling and more than just her work. My family will always be grateful for her caring and strong support in the last days of my mother's life.
