The patient presented to our ED with a sudden loss of speech and confusion. The patient stayed in our hospital for 6 days. She was here on vacation and to be hospitalized is no doubt a scary situation, especially when away from home. Luckily, the patient and her family were met with kindness from all staff. Although the nomination is not overly wordy, it states what the family and patient needed throughout the events that took place.
"Amy was one of the most caring and compassionate nurses we have encountered. She was extremely knowledgeable in her job but mostly concerned about the patient and family. She is the best. Amy gave our family encouragement and support."
