I’m 14, and I stayed in PICU for 20 days, and I was always looking forward to when Mrs. Amy was working. All the nurses were great, but Mrs. Amy was my favorite. When she was at work, she would always push me to do better, and she would go out of her way to make sure I was having a great day and time there. Mrs. Amy would always make sure I was comfortable during the embarrassing stuff. Now I’m at the children’s hospital in New Orleans, and my doctors say that I will get to go home really soon. I feel like my stay here would be a lot longer if it weren’t for Mrs Amy. That is because even when I thought I couldn’t do things after my wreck, she always showed me that I could. Mrs. Amy really deserves this award because without he,r I might not be able to type this myself right now.

She was my 6-month-old's nurse today while dealing with a minor head injury & she was absolutely amazing with him. By the end of our day, she had really bonded with him, and it was the best feeling.

Thank you, Amy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
