The other day, on a late Friday evening, our manager continued to stay in the PACU, assisting staff in every way she could. It continued to get later, and we knew she stayed well beyond her hours for the week, but she continued to assist in any way she could.

I could not believe the level of dedication she showed to our staff that night. She continued to go above and beyond, and she has been staying late to help staff when we have busy evenings, even though she came in during her early hours.

The field of nursing and our expectations of us has changed over the years, but having a great leader speaks volumes. I am proud to work in a unit with a manager who continues to support her staff and be present. I appreciate all that she does, and I hope she knows that her hard work is noticed.
