Amy is one of those amazing colleagues whose unwavering dedication and passion for nursing are truly inspiring. She is a beacon of light for our team and the youth and families that we serve. She is a colleague who goes above and beyond every single day. Her compassion and commitment to patient care are never unnoticed. 

Since COVID, mental health for youth has hit its own crisis level these past 2 years, with youth heading back to school, parents heading back to work, suicidal ideation seeing an increase in young people, and states struggling to keep healthcare workers from burning out or changing careers. Our state also has a shortage of RNs qualified to work in severely emotionally disturbed pediatric mental health. Amy has been one of a handful of staff who have managed to navigate these uncertain times with strength, creativity, and resolve. Amy has seen supporting peer staff come and go, absorbing additional caseloads with the grace and dignity that make her an incredible teammate. Her compassion and expertise make a real difference in the lives of our youth and families. 

Youth and families know her by name and know that when they need her, she responds. Amy provides them safety and assurance, always!

We are so grateful for everything Amy does and, through this nomination, want to express our sincerest gratitude for her excellence in care and support.
