My baby was born without a heartbeat, and with him weighing 9lbs, he had shoulder dystocia. He was sent to the NICU with lots of tubes and complications. My baby was sent away, and I stayed behind.

But my fiancé, who doesn’t speak English, went to the NICU, and with all the confusion, Amy was the one translating everything to him with such compassion and calmness. Most importantly, she was so kind.

I got to see Amy after being discharged from the NICU. She is so well spoken; she is very knowledgeable, and her Spanish is great, although she feels that she needs to practice more. She made us feel comfortable, and she even teaches the CPR class in Spanish.

Amy deserves lots more. As of now, I just wanted to share that although my labor experience was tough, Amy was so kind, and we felt supported. I will never forget her!
