I would like to recognize Amy for her exceptional care and compassion. I came to Berkshire Medical Center emergency room in excruciating pain and found out I needed to have surgery. I was admitted to 5 surgical. I have diagnosed PTSD from a previous emergency surgery that I was awake for. I was in a complete state of panic while awaiting surgery. Amy immediately noticed that I was in a state of distress. She had an empathetic approach, and attentive demeanor which made a significant difference during a time of considerable anxiety. Amy took the time to listen to me and address every concern with patience and clarity. Her kindness and genuine concern for my emotional well-being was evident in every interaction. She went above and beyond to ensure that I felt heard, respected, and comforted, demonstrating the true spirit of compassionate care. Amy exemplifies the values of empathy and excellence in nursing, making her a deserving recipient of the DAISY Award.
