Knowledgeable, attentive, personable, and compassionate are a few words I would use to describe Amy. She was great to our family from the moment she came into our room the first time. I'm a new RN myself, so I was curious/concerned, but trying not to be 'that' family member. Amy made that very easy by explaining and educating my dad, my step-mom, and myself. She listened to our concerns and would explain why or why not they needed to be addressed. She appreciated our family's sense of humor and joined in to make my dad feel comfortable. She used education to help my dad feel better and not once did she belittle or make him feel guilty about his lifestyle. My family is so thankful we had the pleasure to get to know her for the four days we were here. She deserves a pat on the back, some sweet treats, and a DAISY Award!
